I was by myself this day but had a huge area available to use, so I went with a version of an abstract design I did a few years ago. It needs another run through before prime time...This is a stitched together panorama. |

This one was done as a test run with a few friends who were with me on the beach. We each chose a flower to create and then went for it. |

This design was done during a public invite day. Every person who came to help was given a flash card on which to design their flower. After checking it and giving pointers, they were set loose to be part of the field of flowers. This image is a stitched together version of the whole piece. I'm psyched with how it came out. Here is a closeup: |

Just caught the end of the day for this one. In it I'm playing with the new ideas that have been coming to me around generating complex patterns with simple guidelines. I'm happy with what resulted and the design is still in progress.

My first time out to the beach in a looong time! And it was a beautiful day :-) When I got there though, there was like a convention of feisty dogs running around marking up a perfectly smooth beach...I had to sit and let it be and trust that the design would show through. And it did, but this panorama I stitched together is whats hurting now. But it gives the essence. I did a riff from a recurring them except that this time I raked in only the intersections of lines and not the line itself. Thats how the 'stars' can feel so conencted. if you look closely you can see the small line I used to start the design off. Its fun to reveal less and less of the architecture and focus what is happening on top of the structure.
